Dr. Nathan Poteet brings over 14 years of experience as a teacher and administrator with K-12 students in Collier County, where he helped lead two schools from a “C” to an “A” rating. He served as the founding principal of The Freedom Institute of Collier County before stepping into his role as Executive Director of Programs and AI. Dr. Poteet earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Liberty University and is certified in Educational Leadership K-12, Exceptional Student Education K-12, Elementary Education K-6, and Physical Education K-12. He believes every student deserves a tailored education aligned with their unique needs and interests.

Ms. Nicole Johns brings more than 11 years of experience in special education, instructional coaching, and administration. She holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor’s in Special Education from Florida Gulf Coast University. She believes education should cultivate leadership, innovation, and citizenship in every student.

The education here is superior to anything I’ve seen, and I’ll admit I’m a little jealous. I wish I’d had this opportunity as a kid myself. The success coaches at Freedom are a big part of that. They don’t just keep students on track. They take the time to find out what’s really driving each child and to know them on a level I’ve never witnessed at any other school. That, to me, is what truly sets Freedom apart.

The other thing Freedom instills in children is an appreciation for American values and our history, something that’s being lost today. The speakers Freedom brings in are amazing, and I only wish I’d had that experience in school. They genuinely point these children in the right direction.
